Cheesecake crust

You may not think the crust of a cheesecake makes that much difference but in reality it does. The ingredients you use to make it affect the overall taste of the cheesecake. The thickness of it also affects both the look of it and the flavor of it. There are many different types of cheesecake crusts you can choose from.

The most popular type of cheesecake crust is made from graham crackers. Most people use the cinnamon or honey flavored graham crackers and mix them with sugar and melted butter. If your looking for something to give your graham cracker cheesecake crust a different taste try using chocolate graham crackers.

It is important to firmly press the graham cracker crust evenly to the bottom and sides of the pan you are going to make it in. You want it to be even so that it is the same thickness all over. Using your fingers and your palm is a great way to spread it out evenly. Make sure the graham crackers are moist enough with the melted butter. This will make them easier to spread and it will prevent cracking as well.
